The part of the price people forget
On a floor, most of the work is under the resin. Taking an old floor up costs €5 to €15 a m², and preparing an uneven or damaged slab €10 to €20 a m², before the new floor goes on. A new slab needs at least 28 days to cure first, and damp coming up through an old one has to be dealt with.
On a worktop, the old surface has to be sound, flat and dry. A swollen joint or a loose edge is fixed or replaced first.
